It is a thing of shame when you claim you can't speak your native language, but still fumble when it comes to speaking English.

Language is the main aspect of ones culture, so I suggest them to learn how to speak their language.

I'm Ethiopian and fluently speak my language "Amharegn" (Amharic). I'm also not bad on my English. Speaking English is becoming a must nowadays in the international community.
