today a call came through on my Glo(bacom) line from this number +07830510996. voice wasn't too audible but sounded like a guy, call disconnected after a few seconds.

anyone with any clues as to where it might have originated from, and why? (for a minute i thought it was scam guys trying fake accents on me with foreign/seemingly abroad numbers).

Have you bothered to check the country with +078 as its code ?

yes i have, closest i saw was +7 (Kazakhstan and Russia). there's no country with +0 for starters.

someone else suggested that It could be the carrier used by the telecommunication company which could have truncated the full code or someone using a phone card. according to him such numbers are not uncommon!

by the way the number cannot be dialled.

So whats now the problem here, did your credit get deducted or did he ask you for money?

Late last yr a strange number with + 2XXXXXX did like a flash on my mobile. Only for me to call back and all my credit disappeared. I thot its was a joke and told my peeps.
They teased me about it and one tried this same number and also had his entire credit wiped. i don’t call back strange numbers.
NB. These calls that wipe my credit did not last more that 6sc. since no voice was heard on the other end
