As a follow up on the thread dated March 24, 2010 - “why the Age Discrimination” Deductively the best option while awaiting these so call white collar jobs would be to set up a small scale business. Someone like me with a small savings of N300000, no job, just started raising kids- would like to know what kind of business to set up and recoup at least half of it if not 100% in a year. I live in Port Harcourt where the cost of a small shop rent goes for between N15,000 - N20,000 monthly… Pls Id like some constructive advice. Thank you

general suppliers of ladies and gents accessories i.e handbags, perfumes, shoes, ties etc i can help you going with this
You dont really need to have a shop to start.

Thanks Ejiogbe and Sasifun, for your kind advices. But first before exploring urs, I just walk into a lady shop today and we got talking, she goes to Togo and she said she could give me a 'bail' of consignment at 65 - 70k you know what I mean- OKRIKAS! Ladies wears,kiddies etc.
Any bundle goes for same price and that each consignment contains about 300 pieces. The funny thing is that u cant check it until youve paid for it and unwrap-wetin u see na wetin u get!. It ranges from singlets, spagetti tops,buddy hugs,polo tops.
That I could sell from my house and expand from there. Though I wish I could get some more cheaper bundle.
