Former Ogun state governor, Otunba Gbenga Daniel, has promised to restore the People’s Democratic Party to its glory days if elected national chairman during the party’s December convention.

He disclosed his readiness ensure grass root participation and leadership in his administration.

Otunba Daniel disclosed this in Lokoja yesterday, at the Kogi State PDP Secretariat during his campaign visit to the state.

He said: “I have a vision to transform and revive the lost glory of PDP.

“Power has finally returned to the people at grassroots and things will start taking shape and we are determined to reposition the party at the national, state and local government levels.”

“What used to happen was that you work for the party, only to hear on radio and television that A, B and C have been appointed by the President without making any input. Under my leadership, things will be done differently.”

“The era of impunity had gone for good. The wishes and aspirations of the general party members will remain paramount.”

“I’m a crisis manager as I have just told you; and not only that. “ I’m a tested hand.

“I understand what it means to run an election. I have manned a state before and I have managed people.”

“The bulk of the challenge we have in the party is just people’s management.

”For you to be successful, you must have the capacity to manage interlocking interests.

“As crisis managers, we must strive very hard to underplay areas of division”, he said.
