There are various ways to monetize a blog. You income basically depends on how you monetize your blog. There are different ways to monetize a blog:
Affiliate marketing: You can sell other people's products online and earn part of the profit. This is called affiliate marketing. All you have to do is sign up on an affiliate network, go to your account and copy your affiliate code/link. Post this code/link anywhere on your blog and give details about it. If someone buys or makes an action from that link, you earn a commission. Examples of affiliate programs you can join are: jumia, konga (sign up and get N500 free bonus), udemy, speedyconnect, domainking, amazon etc. You can also browse other niches you would be interested in.
Post ads: This is the most common method of monetizing a blog. There are ad networks who pay publishers(you) to post their ads on their blogs. Some pay when a visitor clicks the ad (CPC), others pay when a visitior sees the ads (CPM) while some also pay when a visitor takes an action(CPA) e.g signing up, buying clothes, downloading apps etc. google AdSens is the gbest ad network in the world but it is difficult for bloggers to easily get approve; especially newbies. Don't panic, if you write great contents, you have a 55% chance of getting approved. Here are lists of other ad networks that pay publishers well withquick approval and high earning opportunity.
