A man has been arrested by the Katsina Police Command for allegedly raping and impregnating his stepdaughter.

Hassan Ibrahim, 50, of Unguwar Tasha village in the Kafur Local Government Area of Katsina State, was arrested for repeatedly raping his 17-year-old stepdaughter leading to her pregnancy, now in its seventh month.

Police also arrested his friend, Adamu Idris, 60, who resides with him and his stepdaughter in the same house.

The duo were alleged to have raped the innocent girl repeatedly for months.

The spokesman for the state police command, Gambo Isah, who confirmed the development, said the duo would soon be arraigned in court.

“The suspects have confessed to the crime,” Gambo told journalists.
