A video has gone viral about Nigerian Govt plan to sign an EU agreement to deport Nigerians Asylum seekers who had successfully crossed the Mediterean sea to
Europe.

Many Nigerians Asylum seekers are in Aslyum accomodation for over 2 years waiting for decisions for their asylum applications.
Italian Govt is the only country in the EU Which grants high numbers of Nigerians refugee status.

An Italian lawyer told an asylum seeker that the Nigerian politicians are the problem. They come to Europe to say Nigeria is very good and request for deportation of its citizens.

Many countries like Pakistan,Eritrea,Somalia,Yemen,Sudan never sign such agreement to repatriate their citizens back home.

Currently the Governor of Edo State,Mr Obaseki is in Italy for negotiations and signing.

To Nigerians officials ,the people in Europe dont need your help.Help our brothers and sisters in Libya.

Refugee
In accordance with the UN Convention Relating to the Status of Refugees, Swedish legislation and EU regulations, a person is considered a refugee when they have well-founded reasons to fear persecution due to
race
nationality
religious or political beliefs
gender
sexual orientation, or
affiliation to a particular social group.
The persecution may originate with the authorities of the person’s native country. It may also be that the authorities are unable or unwilling to offer protection against persecution from individuals or groups.

A person who is assessed as a refugee will be granted a refugee status declaration, which is an internationally recognized status, based on the UN Refugee Convention as well as EU regulations.
