CPC commences investigation against DStv alleged consumers’ exploitation


Sequel to myriad of complaints on alleged exploitation of consumers levelled against Multichoice and its Digital Satellite Television (DStv) and other subsidiaries including GOtv services, registered before Consumers Protection Council (CPC), the agency has served the company a notice of intent to commence investigation into the alleged wrongdoing.

The Guild gathered that the company was previously investigated in respect to possible violations of the rights of consumers in providing direct satellite television broadcast services, which led to the Order of the Council on February 16, 2016.

This is unnecessary. Can't the Federal Govt bring in state owened pay tv, must that be the sole duty of private business men? Then can sponsor such and watch how dstv wil beg for customers
