Disappearance leaves Christians in Rajshahi anxious in front of Pope’s visit

A Catholic priest has vanished in Bangladesh, police said on Wednesday, as the nation ventured up security in front of a point of interest visit by Pope Francis that takes after attacks on religious minorities

Walter William Rosario, a 40-year-old priest and director of a Catholic school, disappeared on Monday in a town in northern Bangladesh where speculated Islamist fanatics a year ago hacked a Catholic grocer to death. Abducted by Islamist?

Police in Natore locale said they had propelled a noteworthy look for Mr. Rosario after his family detailed him missing.

The family received a phone call from someone using the missing man’s number to demand a ransom, yet neighborhood police boss BiplobBijoyTalukder said they trusted this was hoax.
