Inec Writes AC, Says Atiku Constitutionally Barred by shutmouth(m): 5:42pm On Feb 24, 2007
The Independent Nati-onal Electoral Com-mission (INEC) has written to the Action Congress (AC) formally informing it that Atiku Abubakar, its presidential candidate has been constitutionally barred from the April poll.

The letter is in response to an earlier letter written to the commission by AC seeking clarification on the status of its presidential flag bearer.

The INEC reply is coming amidst initial denials by the AC that it had no correspondence with INEC on the status of its presidential candidate.

THISDAY can now confirm that the AC actually wrote to the commission seeking clarification on the status of Atiku.
