U.S Sold Nearly $42B In Weapons To Foreign Countries In 2017 by justFEARLESS(m): 2:00pm On Dec 01, 2017
The United State defence companies sold weapons over $41.93billion outside the country in 2017 fiscal year which is a 20 percent increase over the 2016 figures.

According to DefenceNews, "$32.02 billion came through Foreign Military Sales, $6.04 billion was through Foreign Military Financing and $3.87 billion in cases funded through other Defense Department authorities"

The State Department on Wednesday announced that " regionally, sales made through FMS and FMF totaled roughly $22 billion for Central Asia/Near East; $7.96 billion to the Indo-Pacific; $7.3 billion to Europe; $641.6 million to the Western Hemisphere; and $248.6 million to Africa."

This figure which only include sales that were cleared by Congress is even expected to rise in 2018 as there are huge defence agreement between U.S and countries like Saudi for $110 billon military hardware, U.A.E, India and some African countries which will most likely be sanctioned by Congress in 2018.

“This positive sales trend isn’t surprising as the United States is the global provider of choice for Security Cooperation,” Lt. Gen. Charles Hooper, DSCA director, said in a statement. “We deliver not only the most effective defense systems to our partners, but we also ensure a ‘Total Package’ approach that includes the provision of training, maintenance, and sustainment, to support full spectrum capability for our partners.”

In FY14, sales totalled $34.2 billion, in FY15 it totalled $47 billion, in FY16 it totalled $33.6 billion.

Notification for apperoval for weapon sales to Congress by the Defense Security Cooperation Agency also set a new record in FY2017. Those notifications are not final and only apply to potential sales that must be cleared by congress

Ofcourse! Most of those “Foreign Countries” were ISIS, Al-Qaeda, Al-Shabab & Boko Haram. grin

Even NATO member states have abandoned Amerika's overrated & useless weapons for Russia's cheap but highly sophisticated & effective weaponry. grin cheesy grin
