The Catalan People's Party is gathering its supporters today December 2nd in a hotel in Mataro, a city located northeast of Barcelona, in view of the anticipated regional elections of December 21st. A gathering to be attended by Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy.


This is the second time since the placing under the guardianship of the region by the application of Article 155 of the Constitution that Mariano Rajoy goes to Catalonia. On 12 November, the Prime Minister attended the official presentation of Xavier Albiol, the candidate of his party, the People's Party, in the regional elections of 21 December.
