Brazilian tactician Rafel Everton will today make a return journey to Nnewi, Anambra State. The Brazilian who handled the "Anambra Warriors" FC Ifeanyi Ubah in the 2015/2016 Football season, however, will return to Nnewi today with another Warrior team from Umuahia , Abia Warriors.

The Brazilian who teamed up with the Warriors from Umuahia in October, will lead a 35 man team delegation from Abia Warriors to the maiden edition of the South East/South South Preseason Tournament kicking off on Sunday at the Ifeanyi Ubah International Stadium Nnewi.

The Brazilian who described Nnewi as his first home in Nigeria said it would be a thing of joy to integrate once again with his friends and fans in the commercial town of Nnewi. He described the town as a very loveable one, that love good football.

On the tournament, Rafel Everton who led the Anambra Warriors to win the Federation Cup in 2016, said the major aim of the tournament is to enable the Coaches access the level of preparedness for their team in the forthcoming football season. "I know that the Nnewi people like good football, I will encourage my boys to play exactly that for them. We would use the tournament to assess our readiness for the league, and whatever lapses we noticed will be corrected before the commencement of the League in January ". He commended the organizers of the tournament and Chief Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah for accepting to host the tournament, describing him as a man who loves football with passion.

Abia Warriors will play the opening match of the tournament on Sunday 3 December 2017 against FC Inter of Enugu.
