*OPINION: THE CHOICE BEFORE THE PEOPLE OF ILE IFE AS 2018/2019 ELECTION GATHER MOMENTUM*

_*The need for the people of ife to be tactical in their political approach to the next dispensation can not be over emphasized.*_

By virtues of fact, the present and the outgoing executive governor of the state of Osun, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is from the same senatorial district with ile ife.

Meanwhile, At this moment,the current serving senator from that zone in the person of Senator Babajide Omoworare is from Ile Ife in Osun East the same senatorial district just like the outgoing governor Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola. By an unwritten law and the marriage of convenience between the two communities ife and Ilesha,the next senator to represent the zone is very favoured to come from Ilesha axis of the East Senatorial district, Both the senator and the governor are therefore on their way out. Incidentally,Aregbesola can not seek third term and Senator Babajide Omoworare can not conveniently go for governorship or same Senate despite their good track records and grounded experiences. Not only in APC ,it is also not out of permutation to agreed that not a single party with serious determination to win election in Osun State would want to retain governor's slot in the East Senatorial district of the state.

The choices before Ilesha people is to seek to contest for the Senate seat while for Ife people is to seek to contest or lobby for deputy governor position,house of representatives and to put forward their ranking legislators for possible slot at the state level or federal level,most especially for Speakership of the state of Osun or principal office at both state or federal level.

Conclusively, For any Ife aspirant to target principal office at both the state and the house of Representatives with the possibility of getting the Speakership at both the State and Federal level fielding top ranking politicians is their only choice without any other calculation.

To ensure and implement all these,ife therefore need to close ranks and prepare to field their first eleven,experienced legislators and experience politician,this is not occasion to push forward fresh people or plan to text the pool in the name of ambition satisfaction or sentiments.
