A former senator, Ayo Arise, has been reportedly
kidnapped by unknown gunmen, as reported by
Guardian.
According to Lere Olayinka, the special adviser on Public
Communications and New Media to Ekiti State
Government revealed the news on his Facebook, Arise,
who represent Ekiti North senatorial district, was
abducted when he was returning to Abuja after attending
an event in Ekiti over the weekend.
According to Punch, his kidnappers have requested for a
ransom of N80 million.
