i know that this post is likely gonna be shut down by the mods.
Truth hurts

My answer is no.

Long answer:
Now we've all seen how things have turned out with experimental ideas in tech,
more people would be more open to trying , but it would still fail.

To produce a facebook,google,microsoft,
the country would need a robust infrastructural base.
And a robust economy to spur the required demand for the product being produced.
Again, nigeria of then wouldnt have been capable of supporting such ideas.
The nigeria of now still insnt capable.

Only a first world economy could have helped a computer software maker go global and quickly become an global brand.

The educational system would have messed things up woefully.
Microsoft,fb,twitter, google, are built on the back/brains of well educated brains.
Again, our educational system, the universities wouldav been too backward to provide the necessary manpower to fuel continued development of these companies.
Again, the venture wouldav died either by crushes from competition or from dirth of skilled manpower.

Poor supporting infrastructure, poor roads, electricity, supporting industries:
Servers would need to be hosted here- a thriving tech ecosystem would be required.
Again, those things are sorely lacking.
The infrstructure would have to be so expanded as to make decongestion on cities unlikely that means the only developed areas wouldnt just be city centers with the rest of the areas being either slums of villages as is the present case now in nigeria.

fledgeling success wouldav been destroyed by tribalism and ethnic sentiments.
so microsoft nigeria was founded by a yoruba man, only yorubas would rise to any decent position
. ok it was ibo,the majority of the key staffs would be ibos. uh hausa - everywhere would be men in white! It would so tribal, logical leadership would be lost. Tribal infighting and cornering and empire building wouldav become the order of the day with no foresight to building the companies into the greatest brands they could be. With this strand of myopic management, they wouldnt see the torpedo from the competition heading for their marketshare. Before you know it,microsoft nigeria wouldav been an also ran.

The nigerian factor:
meaningless ego shots would have been offered by the "who is who" in nigerian society.
This wouldav been so distracting.
GCON, FFR, federal honours bla bla - the honours market would be all bout trying to milk every inch of fame from the founders,it would be disgusting and distracting.
Streets, hospitals, universities named after them - omo!! the founder would be spending more time,
trying to buy and establish a legacy than actually letting their works speak for them.

The security factor:
With their fame established the security of their family wouldav been a big issue.
The kidnapping syndicates in nigeria wouldav given them sleepless nights.
and if one succeeded in getting a member of their family, the nigerian police force wouldav been sorely inept to intercept and quash the problems.
Security wouldav been a nagging problem, all family members wouldav to be tucked away on secret private islands or in first world countries.

The tiny economy:
The economy to consume in critical quantities the products from these tech giants couldnt be from nigeria. Without sufficient demand, these companies would be history.
With per capita here being so low, these dreams wouldav been just that - dreams.
To expand, they re only option would be to penetrate bigger richer markets, but their attempts would be blocked by industry leaders in those markets!!

A corrupt slow/lethargic unresponsive beauracratic government:
Terrible. Only a nimble agile responsive lithe government could help provide
the legal and administrative infrastructure for the success of these companies.
But we know that every top government official would be licking his lips in greed
waiting for their cut in the pie. High taxes, multiple taxes, harassment for bribes etc
oops!! The house of cards would come crumbling.
A slow legal system would make settlement of disputes hard.

immature inferiorty psychological complex in the national psych:
The overall psych of the nigerian population is inferior and disdainful of
its own. We have more confidence in foreign goods.
Rightly so,cuz most made in nigeria products are tacky and inferior compared
to their foreign counterparts.
How much more hi tech high precision goods like tech products.
We are also very slow to adapt to new. The younger generation yeah, the older no!!
without an natural explorative mindset, no matter how much money was poured to
create a great company the company would die.
This is what differentiates countries - ability and appetite for taking massive risk.
A risk averse culture couldnt create the kind of success were talking about.
Also a healthy respect and desire for knowledge is necessary.
In the first world, they're people who dedicated their lives to learning and expanding their fields,
in 3rd worlds, it's all about money, amassing amasssing and amassing, those who dont share similar sentiments are mocked and insulted and counted as second entities - such a culture couldnt create
the next tech giant we've heard about.

Enough of ranting !

Get to work, start innovating at every corner of your room. Just to something and keep moving.

Remember, don't let your background put you on the ground.

at least they all started from somewhere (invention)
Nigerians are already do this but the economy isn't too palatable for new inventors and entrepreneurs
