A Nollywood axe and gubernatorial candidate of the Democratic Peoples’ Congress (DPC) in the just concluded November 18 governorship election in Anambra state, Mr. Yul Edochie has doffed his hat for the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and Governor of Anambra state, Chief Willie Obiano for his landslide victory at the poll, saying that the governor humiliated all other candidates including himself by winning in the whole 21 local government areas of Anambra state, a feat, he said, is unprecedented.

Edochie, who was speaking at Awka, during the inauguration of the newly elected Coordinator of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) Zone B, Comrade Kenneth Okeke and other executive members said he did not lose the election but contested to give Nigerian youths a voice.

“Gov. Willie Obiano dealt with all of us because I know that it is not easy for a candidate to win the 21 local government Areas in a state like Anambra, so, we congratulate him and now that the election is over, what remains is for us to support him and his government.

“WE did not lose the election per se but I am fulfilled that we represented the voice of the youths in Anambra state. We won the election by getting to the end of the election without surrendering to anybody against all odds and pressure. I am calling on all of us to support the winner to ensure that the next four years will be better for the entire Anambra people”

He however charged the new leadership of NANS zone B which comprised of all the tertiary institutions in the South East and South South zone to do everything possible to fight cultism in schools as such act is an evil wind that blows no good.

While inaugurating the new executives of NANS led by Comrade Kenneth in the zone, the Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Political Matters, Comrade Chinedu Obidigwe commended the new leaders for their emergence at the Bayelsa congress but urged them to ensure that every tertiary institution in the zone is carried along.

Obidigwe who was represented by Barr Chika Nzelu assured the students of Governor Willie Obiano’s support to their course while calling on them to be good citizens by shunning any act of violence that could jeopardize their future.
On his part, Governor’s Special Assistant on Students Matters, Comrade Sheriff Emeka Eboh urged the new leaders not to disappoint Nigerian students but lift the zone higher than they met it.

He told the students that Governor Obiano has giving a nod to immediate commencement of the NANS zone B unity cup competition while hinting on Governor Obiano’s determination to partner Nigerian students achieve their goals.

In his acceptance speech, the new Coordinator, Comrade Kenneth Okeke reinstated his commitment to wiping out cultism in tertiary institutions within the zone, insisting that it will no longer be business as usual.

“We will also take fight against prostitutions, robbery and other anti social vices to campuses in the zone to ensure that we use the association to sanitise our tertiary institutions” he pledged.

Who doesn't know that you were payed to come and display your nollywood profession but this time in political translation. Because IPOB declared boycott of the dramatic election they went and payed this guy to come and use his prominence in movie industry to woo people out against IPOB's order but all to no avail. Someone who doesn't know anything about politics all of a sudden jumped out from no where and began to make noise upandan that he wants to be an emergency Governor for the people of Anambra under a sharp sharp organized irrelevant party. Now after he was handsomely rewarded, he tends to add jara for his paymasters as mark of appreciation, that's why you see him coming out with this meaningless talk. No serious minded politician in Nigeria will ever make this kind of statements knowing the immense damage it will surely cause on his future political career. And this emergency political contractor is here trying to deceive himself a not me except maybe any nairalander. Even a mad man in your street will hear this one and tell you its political. Yul just STFU and silently enjoy your dividends of propaganda and deceit and leave us alone.
