About This Job
We have been mandated by our client to seek for a highly motivated individual to join
the team as a General Manager at her hospitality edifice located in Kwale Delta
state, The one stop shop international arena has 28 fully furnished bedroom hotel with
a restaurant and Bar ,An Eatery ,Executive Lounge, a twin movie theatre and a fully
equipped Night club.
What is expected of the ideal candidate.
• The General Manager's primary responsibility will be to ensure excellence in guest
services while overseeing the different departments of the Arena
• Self-starter with a proven track record of meeting budgets, an understanding of P
& L statements and cost/inventory control
• Consistently delivering results that contribute to the mission and overall success of
the hotel by accomplishing performance objectives focused on business revenues,
guest and associate satisfaction
•Interviewing, hiring, coaching and counseling department managers in the efficient
operation of their respective areas
•Regular ongoing monitoring of staff to ensure the adherence to pre-established
policies and procedures, delegation of duties, property inspections, willingness and
ability to engage in effective communication with guests, corporate clients, and
ownership
•Clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to sell
concepts and ideas to management, peers, and associates
•The ability to lead by example to build morale and spirit
•Communicate goals and objectives and inspire associates to achieve those goals
•Executes marketing, sales and operational activities, producing results that meet or
exceed the hotel goals
•Maintains an appropriate level of community involvement
•Other duties as assigned from time to time by the board.,
Must be innovative, break new grounds for the brand name
Market and expand the brand ,develop the business into a chain and nationally and
internationally
The ideal candidate for this position will posses
• First Degree qualified or its equivalent in Hospitality management or social
sciences,with a minimum of 5 years working in similar position.
•Excellent leadership skills and ability to manage hourly staff
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• High Energy
• Professional image, , dress and communication
• Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays and nights depending on
staffing needs
