Seriously, does it affect price of garri?

I doubt. Lies don't affect the price of garri nor that of bread.
It never has in the past. It doesn't in the present.
Propaganda and lies are aimed to affect All Poverty Congress, APC zombies.
May we not be part of them. Amen.

Exchange rate in 2014 : 180
Exchange rate in 2017 : 360

trillion/180 = $5.55 billion in 2014
trillion/360 = $2.77 billion in 2017

It has reduced by nearly half, not increased. Assuming 1trillion was made in both periods.

Voodoo economics.

If you don't understand the message, better to ask questions.

The message is that Nigeria is on the rise after the looting and squandering of our wealth by PDP post 2015.

Get a life, Bro. Even though I hate IPOB, your insults is just too much and getting irritating.

This isn't good news, our balance of trade should exceed that of 2014 in naira considering the purchasing power of naira is far below that of 2014.

Imagine if the value were to be in dollars. We aren't progressing. Too bad.

So funny there's just one lady viewing this very 'valuable' thread... WOW! You wonder why there's a huge gap in gender in/equality in our system. undecided

Anyway, this is bad news given the hyper-inflation rate from 2014-present and the price index of goods. Does it really matter? Nothing works in 9ja anyway. It only takes the gov't rogues /crooks to 'cook the books' as usual! undecided

Seriously, we are exporting much and importing little but the prices of commodities are still on the high side. May be we are just exporting everything and not keeping for our own consumption.government needs to look into that.

I would imagine so. It's now 7 cups for 200 naira as against the 4 cups for the same amount we were buying during jona era.

I beg your pardon you are the educated illiterate here ...This balance of trade number will only make sense if Nigerians had slowed down imports because there were better local alternative rather than out of stark poverty and inability to even dream to purchase , it would make more sense if our imports of Toyotas declined because there were better locally produces or assembled alternatives rather than the reason being that Nigerians couldnt afford them and have resorted to trekking instead not as a choice but a condition...Open you mind and learn to think deep man

If you can't comprehend the post you quoted, it says so much about your knowledge of economics and ironically, you are always at the forefront condemning PDP and vindicating APC with your half-baked knowledge of Economics.

That's the problem of Nigerians. Everything is about garri garri garri. The western world took years to get to where they are. But we want garri garri garri overnight. I was a kid when Nigerians started living below 1 dollar a day, when we used to hear that 80 percent of Nigerians live below the poverty line. Then after 2015 suddenly 90 percent of Nigerians want to jump across the poverty line over night. Garri Garri Garri!

The Solid Minerals sector is actually doing great. Kudos to Fayemi in this regard.

No good news suit their purpose to grab power(wild dream) after 16years of destroying our refineries and thus left us with no option than to import fuel.
