IN LIBYA 0.2
John doe: Where are our brothers? I do not forbid the sisters
Anonymous. They are in Libya To cross to the other side
John doe: Why to Libya? Why the crossing? And where is these other side? A place like heaven or heaven?
Anonymous: No. A place just like here They go to find a greener pasture They go to cross to the other side The other side where they thought they would find success To cross to the other side The other side of the world beyond To cross to the other side The other side, drowning in pacific To cross to the other side The other side, sinking in Atlantic. To cross to the other side The other side where they thought sorrow would be no more
John doe: Our land is green Of good pastures Our land is rich Full of milk and honey
Anonymous: The same I thought But different is their thoughts Our home is our pride But these they know not
John doe: What a shame they are What manner of shame have they brought To us. What now is their plight? Have they found the greener pasture they risk their lives for?
Anonymous: No. But the other way is the story They saw no green pasture But dry yellow pastures That they strive to make That they are forced to change Like slaves With no pay
John doe: Ah! What a shame
Anonymous: That they brought to our nation Now they cry for freedom Seeing our home as kingdom Praising it like the garden of Eden Aiming it like the children of Israelite
John doe: Our home is indeed the promised land.
O. N. Justice
