Lagos State Ministry of Health is unrelenting in the determination to achieve Universal Health Coverage as covered in their goal – that every Lagosian enjoys unfettered access to qualitative healthcare without significant geographical, financial, cultural or political barriers– the Ministry of Health and affiliate health agencies held a workshop on Human Resources for Health Budget Review & Operational Planning Workshop in Lagos this week. The workshop was aimed at planning and optimising their staff strength and capabilities for better delivery of healthcare in 2018. Present at the workshop were representatives of Ministry of Health Health Professionals Integration Unit, Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, School of Nursing, Primary Health Care Board, Health Service Commission, LASUTH Board, representatives of Save the Children Nigeria and civil society organisations.
