Former Nigeria’s Secretary to the Government of the Federation and father to the United Kingdom-based Nigerian artiste, Aminu, Alhaji Gidado Idris, has reportedly passed away. Nigeria’s burgeoning online integrated media platform, ALEDEH gathered that the elder statesman was pronounced dead on Friday night between the hours of 10 and 11 pm at aged eighty-three (83) after a brief illness. The late Alhaji Idris will be buried according to Islamic rites today, Saturday, December 16, after Firdau (prayers) for him at the National Mosque, Abuja, Nigeria’s capital by 2.00pm.
