Ailing Nollywood actor Sadiq Daba has spoken from UK where he had gone to seek better medical treatment of cancer.

The media practitioner on Saturday, December 16, said that his prostate cancer did not spread to any of his organs as initially diagnosed by Nigerian doctors.

Daba in a chat with Azuka Jebose on Facebook, said that the entire test conducted on him in the US by specialists turned out negative as regards the spread.

The seasoned actor thanked Nigerians and other well-wishers for their prayers. He noted that his cancer, the removal or treatment of which, initially, Nigerian doctors said was only possible through surgery, was countered by UK specialists, who said that it could be treated with drug and injections.

His words: “Done with the doctors this week. All the test results for my prostate cancer did not find spread. I was told in Nigeria that it had spread to other organs of my body. But all tests here by specialists came back negative, with regards to the spread. I am profoundly grateful to Nigerians for giving me hope to live again. Nigerians saved my life: my family and I remain eternally grateful. My cancer can be treated with drug* and injections. Also, the doctors, after tests for Leukemia, concluded that it is in remission. The specialists placed me on drug to help with the remission. I will see an oncologist on Monday; no need for an operation (surgery) to open me up. In Nigeria, I was told I needed surgery. My brother na wa o. I am feeling like a sweepstakes winner.”

Treatment of patients also entails the way you relate with them.Nigerian Doctors (not all of them though) lack doctor/ patients relationship, all they do is prescribe drugs for their patients... Most times what kill people in this country is not the disease itself but the pyshological well being of the patient. That's why even when a patient is on the prescribed drugs they still don't respond to treatment or die due to psychological break down. Thank God he is doing well. God bless the pple who donated for his treatment.
