Manchester City have overseen the dismissal of the French social media manager responsible for the winding up of Manchester United fans this week.

City posted a photo of Leroy Sane obscured by fog on their French language account, asking fans to guess who was hidden in the mist.

Referring to the players' similar hairstyles, one user responded 'Fellaini' to the photo.

In reply, City posted the incendiary comment, 'No, he is a football player.' (Read more here).

The company has since sacked the employee responsible for the tweet.
