Ebonyi people are treated like even worse than Chadians in Nigeria. Over 180 of them are being incarcerated in Lagos for hawking all over the town. Meanwhile their useless incompetent governor is building airport. Are these gala hawkers the ones that will use the airport, even though it will never be completed cheesy

The number of Anambra people walking around without a soul is phenomenal. Anambra people have sold their soul to the devil for worldly things. Anambra people will have the highest population of in hell, and all because of temporary nonsense that you leave when you die.

Why is ebonyi people cursed with poverty, illiteracy and disease? Tufia

Obiano is doing things in his 8th year in office that Umahi did in his 3rd year in office. Umahi is Obiano's daddy and boss.

Have you finished your airport? That uncompleted building that has been that way for over 2 years.

Airport inspection and prayers by Bishop Femi Ajakaye & Fr Ejike Mbaka.

Next Friday (30th), we shall observe two planes land on Runway 24 and Runway 06 to test-run the facilities at the airport before the official commissioning.

The inside of the terminal building is also being completed aggressively. I hope they will add some touch of class by using brown bricks on sections of some walls inside the terminal building, instead of just using paint all over the walls. Red or Brown indoor Bricks on some walls in an international airport also give it a unique touch of class. Even if its just using bricks for half of the walls in some areas.

The water treatment plant is quite massive and capable of taking care of all water needs of the airport!

I think ANSG should construct an interchange at Ifite road, Aroma junction; just like they have it at Independence tunnel Lagos. It will help to reduce traffic gridlock at aroma environment. while building the interchange, they should also dualize Ifite road from Zik avenue to Amansea/Ifite Awka boundary.

The best thank you gift that Obiano can give to Anambra's future is to get a reputable real estate company and sign the MOU for Anambra airport city project.

In that wayy it's guaranteed that the development will follow the master plan. Without such MOU, the Anambra airport city will become another unplanned Awada or Nkpor if a weak irresponsible governor takes over from him.

[b]The MOU for Anambra airport city project with a reputable company should be top priority now to ensure the promise of a modern aerotropolis in Anambra is achieved . Even if a compound failure succeeded Obiano as the next governor.

leicestercamper:
Nwanne you are right on point. There's a reason Obiano is planning to handover to Soludo. Soludo is equally the chairman of Anambra 2050 plan, continuity is what APGA has stabilized in the governance of Anambra State

This is a very important plea. Land speculators are already all over the area asking people to buy land and build one type of shop or another. We know that Obiano is a rare exception of Igbo governors that is committed to quality and doing things the right way to stand the test of time. The average Igbo governor will quickly yield to pressure and financial inducement by traders to allow them to build lock-up shops, bus parks, and markets in the entire Anambra airport city area as the place has been opened up with a solid dual carriageway.

It takes a disciplined government to execute a developmental master plan for any society. Especially when that master plan will take some years before people can see the vision that you are pursuing.

While we hope a technocrat like Prof Soludo will succeed Obiano to execute the Anambra Vision 2070 developmental master plan. We know this is Nigeria where INEC and the Supreme court are partisan entities to subvert the electoral will of the people and impose their own stooges.

Therefore, to achieve the vision of an aerotropolis for Anambra state in particular and Nigeria in general, the MOU for the development of the designated area should be signed with a reputable realtor company before Gov. Obiano leaves office. Of course, no need to use Rotech Energy and Master Holdings of AMC because they already have ongoing massive real estate projects in Anambra state. But there are numerous Igbo-owned realtor companies that can equally do a good job and stick to the master plan of development.

Anambra State Investment Promotion and Protection Agency (ANSIPPA) should be mandated by the state government to get a reliable partner or partners from their previous list of applicants, to help the state actualize the dream of building a truly modern aerotropolis from now into the future after the Obiano era. So that the opportunity to build an airport city in Anambra does not die after Obiano leaves office next year.

Anyone that is close to the government should help us plead for the urgency of at least taking the initial steps towards achieving the Anambra airport city project by signing an MOU with the partner(s) now. There is a greater likelihood that the project will proceed and be achieved if an MOU is signed now that the airport is completed than trusting the next administration that will have its own agenda and focus projects.

They have stupid people at Ministry of Works. Ifite Rd is elevated and it would have cost less to remove all those structures on the right on the expressway side going to enugu and create a long dual lane approach ramp for vehicles to climb and transit either to a bridge to ifite road or come back towards the other side of express going back to onitsha. Then widen the down ramp leading from ifite road to expressway going to onitsha to two lanes.

Eventually do not be surprised if another government removes aroma ramp aka flyover and replaces it with your sound design.

The other thing the government needs to do is build a bridge between Regina caeli and old inec road and remove that nonsense footbridge at uni Zik junction IDC built under Obi. Then relocate eke awka entirely such that there is no reason for all that traffic at unizik junction or on zik avenue.

Then relocate Awka South LGA, ASUDEB to the Eke Awka land.

what you are saying is true but there is no space to dualize the aroma/ifite road. Most parts of the road is narrow. We keep saying we'll develope but most of these urban planners still don't give a lot of room to roads. Buildings and shops are very close to the roads. No space at all. To dualise this aroma/ifite road, alot of Buildings will have to be knocked down.

Absolutely, Anambra people want a seasoned and trustworthy steward with verifiable evidence of spectacular achievements under difficult circumstances to continue from Obiano. Prof. Charles Soludo towers above his contemporaries in possessing what it takes to systematically drive Anambra towards becoming a globally acclaimed and developed commercial destination like Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok or Dubai.
As much as i like Dr Maduka and his philanthropy, as a medical practitioner here in the USA, i know that a pain clinic physician is typically wealthy because people here want the strongest pain killers for even mosquito bite, but such physicians are typically empty upstairs.

Meanwhile, preparations for the test flight next Friday at the airport are being done.

I hope they make the access pavement from the car park into the terminal building to be sloped so that luggage carts and suitcases with rollers can easily be rolled to & from the airport terminal to the car park. At least if it's only to slope the two points facing the Departure and Arrival doors which directly lead to & from the car park. Instead of putting steps or a staircase, and making the task of moving one's luggage from the car park into the airport terminal or from the airport terminal to the car park upon arrival a herculean task. Of course, they can put steps in other areas so that a lot of people can quickly access the terminal without everyone forced to use the two sloped paths meant for luggage carts. Asaba Airport got this part very right as you can easily move or roll suitcases from the car park to the terminal either via sloped pavements or steps.

Very little things like that which show they considered the ease of using the facilities by passengers go a long way in helping people to decide if one airport is smoother to travel from than another.

Impressive. They are now working on the landscaping. The terminal building will have a kind of driveway. I like how they spaced out the terminal building and car park
