We need to thank Vegetable for voting against US, pitching the zoo against USA. All that is left for US now is to dust the report predicting the disintegration of the zoo and follow up on it. Isreal are already solidly behind Biafrans. grin America will be more content to make allies with Biafra.
Isnt it amazing that every move daura Vegetable make is a plus for IPOB? His python dance unified Igbos, his vote against US is about to make land of the rising sun as an Independent country a REALITY! cool

Nigeria should've abstained or followed many countries that never cared to express their votes.

Was it International politics that forced Togo to vote against the resolution or attachment to the Jewish State?

many commentators here are just glorified village new mongers. International diplomacy is not Akara and akamu issues that people like ffk and fayose take any how. The issue of Jerusalem has been disputed since the 60s when Israel annexed for itself. Under the UN resolution Jerusalem status quo must remain until a peaceful amicable two state solution is meant. Have you asked yourself why the directive to move the Capitol from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem has been pending in the office of four former US President before this noisemaker Trump became president. Us major allies have backlashes this decision as a receipe to disaster and chaos. Even the Pope has voiced his opposition to that decision. International politics is different from this our clannish, tribalistic and fanatical response to issues we lack the requiste knowledge about but interest is the gain here. Illustratively Saudi and Egypt are almost mute about the the decision because they are the largest recipient of us aid which is running in million.

But USA has a law that wants her embassy at Jerusalem. Moreover, the proposed embassy location is in west Jerusalem which is not Palestinian territory.

If it was Turkey that moved her Palestinian embassy to east Jerusalem, these same mourners would've applauded her.

The defacto controller of Jerusalem is the state of Israel. Their can be no justification of the embassy been sited in west as having no effects to the general status of Jerusalem as a whole. The decision is actually to cement their claim as a capital.

IS THIS UR COUNTER POINT?

Can you point out any cogent point in what he wrote up there ?

Have you ever asked yourself why majority of the UN members oppose the move of the United States?

Let’s forget about history embedded in holy books and focus on the present reality of the new days.

This present state of Israel is a creation of the UN and there is a resolution binding that creation as to adopt a certain agreement of a two- state solution to the issue about Jerusalem.

Most UN members are against trump not because they want to favor Palestine or the Muslims but they are just fighting for common sense and humanity.

Just go on google and read about the creation of this present state of Israel.

The proposal for two-state solution was had no correlation to the creation of Israel in 1948. This was a recent development. Apart from historical facts, Israel won back East Jerusalem from Jordan when a coalition of Arab nations invaded Israel. What hypocrites at the UN and their followers fail to acknowledge is the fact that if the invading armies had succeeded in taking West Jerusalem or more lands from Israel, no one will refer to them as occupied but land gained in conquest.
Why did Egypt and Jordan had to negotiate peacefully with Israel in order to regain some of their lost territories ? What then is the difference between those territories negotiated and East Jerusalem ? That Israel would not give up what they shed the blood of their citizens to win.
Most of the land Turkey and muslim nations control today were taken over in war. Why is nobody asking them to return those lands to their original owners ?

Ofcourse most of the countries that voted for the resolution did so purely on religious grounds whilst some did for patronage.
The UN has become moribund and ineffective.

And my trash was just confirmed true with the recent un resolution vote on Jerusalem with 128 vote for and a little 9 against it.
If US allies like s. Korea and Japan and Germany can say no to intimidation then Nigeria decision is okay. International relations is a game of interest not clannish thinking.
