To those commenting above, the price of fuel on the international market has increased and most of the products are imported so there is need to subsidize the products in order not to cause hardship.

Although there is so much room for fraud in this subsidy scheme that marketers would take advantage of.

How does your comment invalidate the comments you referred to? The conditions you mentioned are not new and they are basically the same reasons why the previous governments paid subsidies.As long as the government controls the price of fuel the need for a subsidy will always arise or the government will have to keep changing the price to reflect landing cost.
