It's possible that the site is appearing in Google, but not ranking prominently.

Do a Google search for "site:yourdomainname.com". Replace "yourdomainname.com" with your site address and check the results.

If some pages of your site show up in the results, that means your site is indexed.

I've done that severally, but it's my Facebook nd Twitter handle that appears.

Search google search console on google, then move on to add your website, then come back here if you need anything

I did a little search for you. The best reason I found is that Google couldn't access your blog because it has been blocked from creating a useful description to show in search results. It has something to do with robots.txts file entry.

Here's the solution.

Submit your site to Google webmasters, just search for google webmaster via google, verify it with webmasters and add your sitemap to it so Google can index your site pages.
