Good evening NLders.
In the old testament (Exo 23:14-16) God commanded the Jews to observe three different kinds of feasts, three times in a year. These are the Feast of Unleavened bread, the feast of Harvest and the Feast of Ingathering. Apart form these, there are also different celebrations the Jews need to hold every year. I cannot give reasons why Christianity which is an extension of Judaism does not observe these feasts. This makes me to feel that the Almighty God is a lover of feasts and celebrations, but some Christians assume that some godly celebrations (like Christmas and Easter) are actually umbilical and as such is unholy. Some claim that every day of ones life should be a Christmas instead of choosing a special day to celebrate that birth of Christ. To those who condemn the celebration of Christmas and Easter my question to you is, what do you suggest should be celebrated in place of these three feasts God commanded to be held?
