DYK: High use of antibiotics during broiler raising to achieve desirable color and freshness may have residual effects on human health. DYK: To prevent irrational use of antibiotics, a supplementary application of yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae) with antibiotics is be best. Yeast powder mixed with antibiotics was found effective as probiotics in increasing broiler weight, improving feed efficiency, and preventing growth of pathogen microorganisms. DYK: The Saccharomyces genus, a yeast for brewing, is usually enriched with molasses, which when incorporated into feeds affect meat color.
DYK: The feed efficiency is highest in 0.3% yeast level in feed. Hence, it was recommended to supplement yeast at 0.3% to feed formulations for 2 weeks before chickens are slaughtered, to improve color, daily weight gain, and economic value.

Baker's yeast should never used as a nutritional supplement or food source, as it can actually deprive body or animal of B vitamins as it continues growing the intestines of the host.

Brewer's yeast can alter the beneficial bacteria in the large intestines while baker's yeast will not.

DYK: That Composite forage of moringa lowered the rate of lactation decrease by 350% when compared to standard feeding practices during the middle lactation.

shouldn't we be interested in composite moringa feed?

Hello friends, Have you heard of "bamboo forage"? for most i guess no.

A few days ago some acquiantances introduced this term in a new way to me.
For some years now bamboo forage has been quite popular in Ruminants. However.
DYK: Research last year gave promising results of the "Grass King's" utility as feed for poultry. Showing decent performance over established organic diet alternatives after following specific preparation guidelines.

These again have imperatives in poverty alleviation and food security.

DYK: That BSF flour could totally replace fish meal in diets of fish feed and as well in avian feeds.
Though more expensive than soya meal it out performs soya meal in most growth parameters.
Meanwhile it is cheaper than fish meal per unit.
