Anti spam bot is a web script designed to curtail spam or unwanted messages on a thread. The site adminstrator would add words or figures that the spambot wld combat once it appears in a comment.

In the case of nairaland, the spambot is designed to fight against posting of phone numbers and some words not needed to mention, It hides the comment and Bans the poster for a period of time.

Nairaland bot might interpret booking numbers as phone no and land you a ban while you keep cursing the innocent mods.

The best thing to do is to use the "Mail mod" option and explain that you were banned by a spambot and everything would be sorted out.

Note:- if a mod bans you, you will be notified in your profile the name of the mod, reason of ban and duration of ban.

Example:- You have been banned by puskin for comment " Mr lowodd carry big head". Ban expires 20 february 2019.

Same thing when you are banned by a bot
