French boss Arsene Wenger breaks Sir Alex Ferguson’s record, claiming another slice of Premier League history. The 68-year-old achieved the new mark as the Gunners kicked off against West Bromwich Albion at The Hawthorns in the final Premier League match of 2017.

The 68-year-old Frenchman has effectively matched Alex Ferguson on 81o matches as a manager in EPL and break the record at the Hawthorns – strangely, the very ground at which his old foe managed the last game of his Red Devils career, an exciting 5-5 draw with West Brom in May 2013.

Wenger has not precisely enjoyed in relentless help amid his 20-year spell in North London at the same time, with three League titles to his name, he is hinting at few surrendering any desire for a fourth before he calls it quit with the Gunners.
