The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike , has emerged the Silverbird Man of the Year, Twenty Seventeen. Governor Wike emerged winner from a keenly contested vote by members of the public. The winner of the prestigious Silverbird Man of the Year was nominated for embarking on massive infrastructure development in Rivers state, earning him the title , Mister Projects . The award ceremony will hold on February Twenty Third, Twenty Eighteen, at Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos. Past winners of the Silverbird Man of the Year which was instituted to recognize individuals who have affected the lives of Nigerians positively include, Professor Dora Akunyili, Governor Nasir El- Rufai, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, Adams Oshiomhole, Doctor Mike Adenuga, Senator Godswill Akpabio and Alhaji Aliko Dagote. Others are Doctor Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Peter Obi, Babatunde Fashola , Doctor Emmanuel Emmanuel Uduaghan and Governor Willie Obiano.

Imagine awarded to;
A government made of up cultists.
A governor who sees building court houses and buying cars over and over again for judges as projects.
The governor of the most violent state in the other half of Nigeria.
Where fully loaded buses get kidnapped and nothing is done about it
Transport companies don’t even follow Elele route anymore because insecurity is assured
And they do have an alarming number of checkpoints
Just today, 20 people where massacred and Mr project will still do nothing
