Christianity today is filled with teaching as to what we must do to get God to provide for us. Those who teach tithing say that we must tithe to insure God’s blessing, and avoid God’s curse. Those who pervert this law of, "sowing and reaping," say that we must sow a financial seed into their ministry – and that if we do – God will provide a great harvest. All of this is error. It is all part of a terrible system of unbelief. It is, in fact, a denial of the Cross, and a denial of the grace of God in Jesus Christ.
If one has truly received the true gospel of Jesus Christ and his birth in Adam has been buried and he has been born again in Christ (Romans 4:25), GIVING becomes a reflex process like breathing, he will never be pushed or give under compulsion. “Freely you have received; freely give” (Matthew 10:8}. Giving is the heart of Christ but if one has not truly received Christ, free giving is NOT POSSIBLE that’s why many resort to making it a law as opposed to Grace - that is not the gospel it is the law that could not save us from sin, only GRACE can make us attain the righteousness demanded by the law, it’s an error to speak grace when it comes to sin but speak the law when it comes to money (Romans 3:20, Romans 8:3-4), We receive by GRACE and we give by GRACE:” Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”( 2 Corinthians 9:7), If the branch is grafted onto the Vine, we will all agree that the branch can never give on its own if that happens then it is from the FLESH and it is not acceptable to God, true giving is a function of the Vine -Jesus Christ who is in us through the Holy Spirit - GRACE! No matter how much Adam could cover himself with fig leaves God could never accept him, God only accepts the blameless lamb His only Son Jesus Christ, with His Son’s indwelling in us through the Holy Spirit we can start to have true Spiritual life where the Holy Spirit works and the FLESH is dead!
