A week to the weekend local election in Delta state, the All Progressive Congress has suffered a major setback following the defection of 5000 members to the Peoples Democratic party in Ika northeast local government of Delta state.

The defectors led by a chieftain, Comrade Ebenezer Obiazorkwo and other APC ward chairmen said that they want the total elimination of any other opposition party in the state. Speaking at the local government hall, Comrade Ebenezer said that the good works of PDP made manifest through the distinguished Governor of the state, His Excellency Mr Ifeanyi Okowa has moved them to embrace the Peoples Democratic Party as it is envisioned with bringing peace, development and prosperity to the local government and the state as a whole

"We have come into the light and we promise not to go back to Egypt as we embark on our political journey" said Mr Obiazorkwo who spoke on behalf of the defectors. " We urge the good people of PDP to accept us into their humble party as we look forward to working with them in the future".



Meanwhile Governor Okowa said that they will be accepted and treated equally as old members as they all put their heads together to work for the betterment of the State

There is no difference between APC and PDP

There is, dear.

While both comprise looters, the PDP unarguably towers a million times higher in terms of economic management and fostering of national unity...governance in general.

I'm still to find a single positive to attribute to this calamitous Buhari-led APC government.
