The film stars Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams as a young couple who fall in love in the 1940s. The film became a sleeper hit and has gained a cult following. On November 11, 2012, ABC Family premiered an extended version with deleted scenes added back into the original story line.

Pictures on July 29, 2011, grossing over $142 million against its $50 million budget.

Dear John is a 2010 American romantic drama-war film starring Amanda Seyfried and Channing Tatum. The film was directed by Lasse Hallström, and it is an adaptationof Nicholas Sparks’ 2006 novel of the same name. It follows the life of a soldier after he falls in love with a young woman. The movie was filmed in 2009 in Charleston, South Carolina.
