There was a time Owerri was allocated 120MW from the national grid
So that contraption cannot generate even 1MW
The force or power of water in that stream is just not enough

Kettykings, technology like this, though small, can go a long way in helping our small businesses in cities & rural areas of Igboland that have flowing streams to generate electricity small enough to power small businesses.

The actual power generated might be 200KwH or 20KwH and not 200MwH. It can also be increased if the outlet channel is at least 4 times lesser than the inlet channel to make it jet out faster in order to generate enough pressure to turn the blades.

All that are needed is to

1) get an alternator or accumulator that converts mechanical energy to electrical energy.

2) make sure the water outlet is smaller than the water inlet to build up pressure.

3) Locally made turbine that will be turned by the fast flowing water.

4) Belt to connect the turbine and the alternator. The turbine will act like a car engine rotating belt holder.

Car alternators can be of use.


The difference between what this young man did and what we have in our car / generator engines, is the replacement of a combustion engine with a water engine.



We have lots of streams, gutters and rivers in Igboland that can be converted to stuffs like this to generate lots of electricity for our people.


We could even build multiple dams on a particular fast flowing stream or river or gutter to generate more electricity for our people.
