Our ever peaceful Makurdi has now become a danger hub where the neighborhood is no longer safe. Gunshots everywhere. Sporadic shootings by men of the Military and Police Forces. This is now more of a FG conspiracy against the state. Everyone is now indoors for the fear of stray bullets. But what is the essence when we are been slaughtered even in our own homes. If the law can no longer save the people, let the people save the law.
In a city where we were once woken up by the chirpings of birds and laughter of children playing the streets or those watching cartoons in the parlour, it is still unexplainable how we are now been woken up by sounds gunshots, both from the enemies and our supposed protectors, today we are been woken up by loud heart pulses of our brothers, that is if at all they managed to catch some sleep. The streets are quiet, the children have scampered away into their burrows called homes to pray before the end finally comes. We can no longer watch cartoons for fear that the enemy might easily locate us if they hear the sound of the TV. Refugees in our own homes we have become.
It now sounds like a fluke when our history is read or narrated. We look different from the people who crushed the jihadists in 1804-1808. How do you still expect the world to believe we were the last ethnic group to be conquered by the British troops in 1897? If Col Joseph Akaahan were to be alive, will he still be proud of his kinsmen? Even if Akaahan would still be proud, what of Col. Philemon Shande, Gen. Victor Malu, Gen. Gabriel Kpamber and Major Gideon Orkar. Will they still be proud to say they are Tiv people?
If even our own cannot understand our cries, I doubt if another Fulani man in uniform will.
Yes, I know that somewhere in a wheelchair, Lance Corporal Kenneth Kulugh is currently weeping for us his kinsmen. He is currently regretting why he put up his life for the lives of the Northerners when every other soldier ran away in Adamawa in the fight against Boko Haram. The highest he was awarded was a Purple Heart Medal by President Buhari.
That was how they started killing us, they killed us emotionally before proceeding to physical terms.

there is a conspiracy against Benue people the consequence is great,
Nigeria is sitting on a time bomb, food shortage will hit Nigeria hard in the face very soon, there will be hunger and food scarcity. Benue state that is the food basket of the nation can't farm again because of Fulani herdsmen's, people are afraid to go to the farm because of fear of being killed, raped, or molested by the Almighty Fulani's.
