The Kaduna state governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has faulted the senator representing Bayelsa East, Ben Murray Bruce, for crediting ex-President Goodluck Jonathan with the rail system in Kaduna.

Newsworth recalls that after inaugurating new rail vehicles for the Kaduna–Abuja train service at Rigasa train station in Kaduna on Thursday, Buhari took a train ride from Rigasa to Kakuri on the outskirts of Kaduna to commission the Inland Dry Port in Kaduna.

In a tweet afterwards, Bruce said Jonathan is responsible for the actualisation of the Kaduna rail project, stressing that the rail system in question was “entirely” Jonathan’s achievement.

“I hope President Muhammadu Buhari remembers to say thank you to former President Goodluck Jonathan for the train ride he enjoyed in Kaduna.

“Some of us haven’t forgotten that that achievement was entirely the handiwork of the Jonathan government.

“Nigeria should give honour to whom honour is due,” the tweet read.
