As JAMB has announced the sales of UTME form it is an indication that the preparation for the Annual Competition for Admission into the Nigerian Higher Institutions of Higher learning has started again. We however need to ponder on why over two million candidates(competitors) could not be admitted into Tertiary Institutions through 2016/17 and in 2017/18 UTME. Perhaps the reasons can assist the competitors for 2018/19 edition of UTME to avoid past mistakes.

To kick start it I believe Population of the candidates that is far above the number of available opportunities in all the Higher Institution of learning in the country is a big factor because if each of the competitors score the maximum marks of 400 only few will still gain admission. Therefore population of the competing candidate is big factor.
