These days I feel a new drive in me, Yeah
The energy to work for long without sleeping
Who works for long without having a good rest afterwards
Yes, only me with that unique ability
I watch my friend snore away his life on his bed
My irritation at saliva drooping from his mouth makes me shake my head
But at whom am I shaking my head
At someone perfectly working the cycle of sleep and get strength that Mother nature created
Or at myself for not being able to produce hormones that weaken me to get sleep
Or could I possibly be suffering from inability to sleep
Oops! It finally dawns on me it could be insomnia
But I get a final human thought to prove I still am no different from the others
I start to wallow in self denial I could probably not be suffering from that
Today's a new day and it's the tenth of my not getting a rest at all
I feel weakened today and I begin to drift away
Is death coming upon me?
