It seems this Government is about to bring itself down by proposing to have 2 pump prices.

Federal Government is mulling a plural fuel pricing regime, under the arrangement of the Nigeria National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), that they would sell at N145 while independent marketers would import and dispense at their own rate, making it two different fuel price.

Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, minister of State for Petroleum Resources who made the revelation when he appeared before the Senate Committee on Petroleum Downstream also revealed that the current scarcity might linger till June 2019, when government-owned and private refineries would fully come on stream.

Other recommendations Kachikwu proffered as possible solution to the fuel crisis, which peaked during the Yuletide included a special foreign exchange price modulation as well as special tax consideration for independent oil marketers to reduce their financial burden.

He said if any of the three recommendations was adopted, fuel scarcity would be temporarily handled until refineries come on stream.

At N87/liter, agents of this government were insisting that there is no subsidy on PMS. This government raised price of PMS to N145/liter and were caught paying subsidy. They claimed that NNPC that belongs to Sudan is bearing the subsidy. Now for lack of ideas they want to have 2 pump prices. I keep wondering how we got here. We have to be patient and wait for 2019 where our PVC will be deployed to do the right thing.

Me that have been praying to God for Buhari to increase pump price so his exit will be boosted.

Buhari is a calamity that should not have happened.

He is a human disaster.

I never knew hunger until under this regime. Fuel scarcity persists as long as 3 - 4 months, everyone would have finished spending all he or she has, then he increases fuel price by over 50%. Then RECESSION sets in, and Nigeria's growth gets stunted again.

He is a cursed leader, He is not meant to lead.

Buhari means retrogression and stagnation.
