Governor Ortom issued a communique after meeting with the president and other state governors affected by killings behind close doors saying 'ban' on open grazing to curb the senseless Fulani herdsmen killing was agreed in the meeting which had security chiefs in attendance.

Audu Ogbeh, minister of agriculture, has said the federal government will establish cattle colonies across the country to curb increasing cases of clashes between farmers and herdsmen.
