IMPUNITY IS A FORGONE PAST IN IMO PDP - AHANONU

The State Youth Leader of the Imo State Chapter of People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Mr. Williams Ahanonu, has stated that the era of impunity in the party is over.

Mr. Ahanonu disclosed this while speaking to newsmen in his office on the state of affairs of the party’s youth wing, recently.

He said that under the leadership of the State Chairman, Barr. Charles Ezekwem, the party in the State has been democratized, with opportunities made open for everyone. He averred that the party will continue to uphold the principles of fairness, equity and internal democracy, as it has been returned to the people.

The youth leader who asserted that PDP is the only organized opposition party in the State also said that the former ruling party is the most ready to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC.

He however urged the party to pay more attention to membership drive by reaching out to individuals across board in order to further strengthen its platform.

Mr. Ahanonu said his office has initiated many programmes to boost the party’s support base across the State, while he called on the Zonal, Local Government and Ward Youth leaders to key in to these programmes and work harder.
