Coca-Cola Nigeria Limited announced names of three of Nigerian musical rave of the moment, MI, Banky W and Eldee as the local official artistes and producer for the remix of Coca_Cola 2010 football anthem; “Wavin” Flag,”at an impressive media launch held in Lagos to usher in her FIFA World Cup 2010 campaign last Tuesday March 16.

Speaking at the unveiling, Wangi Mba_Uzoukwu, Strategic Marketing Manager (Colas), Coca_Cola Nigeria Limited said, “The artists are popular and well known to a lot of people. Banky and MI rally the Nigerian youth and the Nigerian spirit even in their musical style.

They are gentlemen in their persona and we feel that they have carried themselves well so far in their career. That is something we are proud to endorse because we are actually giving back. It is about giving to local artistes and another is their voices. If you listen to K’naan’s voice and Banky’s own actually blend together.”

She said Coca_Cola identify successful young Nigerians who are doing their things the Nigerian way. According to her, “That is why we selected these artistes.

And of course, the work Eldee does from Tribesmen to now attest to the fact that he is a good producer. He’s done a couple of songs we all dance and jig to. There was no question in our mind that we’d work with this three on this project. That is not to say they are the only people we’d ever work with but they are the ones we have chosen to work with for now.”
