The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) inline with its developmental function established the anchors borrower program (ADP) the project is intended to create a linkage between anchor companies involve in the processing and small holders farmers of the required key agricultural commodities. The programme thrust of the ADP is provision of farm input in kind and cash to small holder farmers to boost the production of these commodities, stabilise input supply to Agroprocessors and address the country's negative balance of payment on food. At harvest the small holder farmers supplies his/her produce to the agro processor ( the anchor company) who pays the cash equivalent to the farmers account.
