A gas station reportedly exploded at CMD Road, in the Magodo area of Lagos.

While the reason for the fire, at Second Coming Gas Plant, is currently unknown, fire fighters are said to be on ground to put out the fire.

Social media users claim that several casualties have been reported, although this is also unconfirmed.

I drove through that road this morning...saw people running helter skelter for their dear lives. The inferno was huge. Couldn't wait to ask questions cos I was already running late but I later heard there were several casualties.
