I just learnt from sporting life that scoops reveal a 42 man list submitted from the initial 45 by lagerback to NFF. It includes the usual suspects excluding the three above, also with some interesting new faces. Anyone know about verifying this report? |

martins should be a part of the squad. but ogbuke, after this last nations cup, i'm no longer impressed. as for kanu, he should just retire honourably. |

Source is sporting life front page today. Still need a confirmation on the report though quite a reputable source. Sporting Life claim its their usual impeccable source at the Glass House. Can't find anything online to verify that sha. But Sporting Life usually gets it right. |

Can this be possible? i mean exclusion of martins, Kanu, and Ogbuke from world cup list while including Emerano and some unneeded legs in Super Eagles. Well let wait for confirmation from reliable source. |

boy if this is true i hail lagerback, did you see the midfield it is packed with creative midfilders like ekpo,ibrahim and lukman. i love martins and ogbuke but they would be easily replaced we have too many good strikers but not many good midfilders. anyway i think this list is what sporting day people wants |

If this list of 42 ends up being real, then one might come to the conclusion that Martins, Obasi and Kanu are 3 of the players Lagerback has already included in his final 23 squad. Only recently he told fifa.com that he would like to work with Kanu, that the latter "is sort of a legend". Besides, Lagerback first said he made a list of 45 players, right? Well, 42 + 3 = 45. |

No Onuoha or Odibe on the list, so I think the list is very suspect, as we know Lagerback is watching those players. |

this is just the poster's list and it has gone a long way to expose how uninformed he is. i can't see a super eagle without ogbuke and martins unless the coach is here for a kind of experiment. |

Thread locked for lack of substantial evidence, if you want to draft out your 42 man list, we'd understand it's yours, but when you claim you heard it somewhere without any real back up, then we won't take that from you because it lacks evidence, i also heard this morning (some newspapers) that Martins, Kanu and Ogbuke are on the list, so you see we can't really believe yours. |
