Anyone who was expecting a dramatic FA Cup night in the traditional sense will have been disappointed as Leicester eased through what turned out to be a rather tepid third-round replay.

The match did, however, provide English football with its first goal awarded on the say-so of a Video Assistant Referee (VAR) after Kelechi Iheanacho’s second of the match was given by virtue of an overruled offside decision.
The moment came in the 77th minute after Riyad Mahrez’s pass to the former Manchester City striker gave assistant referee Lee Betts a marginal call to which he responded by raising his flag.
