The Lagos chairman of CAN, Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, has appealed to all Nigerians to pray for the unity of the nation
The cleric also stated that the nations’ leaders should also ask themselves if they are truly building Nigeria or destroying it

Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, Chairman, Lagos state Chapter, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), on Wednesday, January 17, urged all Nigerians to protect and promote the country’s unity, NAN reports.
Addressing a news conference on the state of the nation in Lagos, Bamgbola said that destroying Nigeria was not the solution to the challenges facing the country.

African entertainment gathers that the CAN chairman added that once Nigerians are united, there would be solutions to most challenges facing the country.
“We wish to speak to our political leaders to pause for a moment, look and think of what Nigeria has become under their watch.

“For many more Nigerians, it is a sad story, the question that the political class must ask itself is, are we truly building the Nigeria nation or are we destroying it?
“What kind of Nigeria do we want to handover to our children?
“I will like to remind every member of today’s political class that no condition is permanent.
“Every member of today’s political class will give account of his or her stewardship to God some day,’’ he said.

Meanwhile, African entertainment previously reported that the Christian Association of Nigeria sent a message to President Muhammadu Buhari, condemning the attack in Benue state by herdsmen.
The religious body charged the president and security chiefs to look into the issue and stop paying lip service.

CAN president, Rev Samson Olasupo Ayokunle, in a statement issued in Abuja by his special assistant, media and communications, Pastor Adebayo Oladeji, condemned the attack, claiming the country had witnessed unprecedented attacks in the past two years.
